Sagewater Spa is the ideal place for a get away relaxation break. Rhoni and Christina are simply the best. They make you feel like you have been close friends for years and they cater to your every need. This little slice of heaven in the hot springs is unique comfortable and best of all, the water has magic powers. You will never sleep better, feel more relaxed and rejuvenated. I have now been twice once as an exhausted bachelor and recently with friends and my wife. I had the best time on both occasions. Go, relax, make instant friends with the best hosts in Desert hot Springs, Rhoni and Christina. I cant put into words how amazing they are!!!!

Room Tip: all rooms are similar. I believe one of the room has two twins.

I almost don’t want to write this review for fear that the outstanding and magical Sagewater Spa will be overbooked from now until eternity and we will sadly never be able to stay there again. From the tastefully minimal midcentury design, to the perfectly heated healing mineral waters, to the legendary coffee cake one receives upon arrival (and jar of Good n’ Plenty one discovers on their kitchen table), the Sagewater Spa is a restorative haven away from the overstimulation of city life. Its small size makes for an intimate experience each time, and the aunt-like (actually, motherly) love and care bestowed upon each visitor by the hotel’s owners Cristina and Rhoni makes you feel as though the place literally bubbled up from the underground hot springs minutes before your arrival. Those looking for a menu of touristy options, activities, and distractions may find the Sagewater Spa not to their liking. But for those in search of true serenity, book a room. You won’t regret it.

Rhoni and Chris are warm, helpful and gracious hosts that make everything for you to feel comfortable and absolutely respect the privacy and timing of the guests.

With only seven rooms, the spa is very private and quiet, perfect for relaxation. And the water… oh my god, the water in the pool is something else! Very clean and warm, after few minutes in it we felt like all our muscles were relaxing and the stress went away… we stayed there for hours chatting, looking at the mountains or counting airplanes and stars in the sky. We had the most amazing time at Sagewater and will come back for sure! Our dream is to bring the whole family, so they can enjoy this jewel as we did. Thank you Rhoni, Chris and Sage, we look forward to come back!

There is something about a weekend get-away that, if done correctly, can completely recharge you and leave you excited for the week ahead. This was one such weekend. We didn’t have to ask for anything, change anything, or have anything improved. We were able to check in, tune out and relax. I left feeling wonderful. Strongly recommend.

The spa is very small, only 7 rooms. Very minimalist, but very cozy and intimate.  Rhoni and Cristina (the owners) make you feel right at home.  They incredibly accommodating. If you want to go out to eat, ask them where to go. They will make a recommendation, and it will be exactly what you wanted.

It is quiet and peaceful and the two pools are a dream. You can easily spend hours in them – and you should.

We also had two massages. They come to your room to do them. We did the unstress and the signature fusion. Both were great.  The masseuse even gave me an exercise  to do with my guy to help with his tight it band.

Already looking forward to our next visit.

P.S. – the coffee cake is amazing. Sage, the dog, is a wonderful helper. She makes sure that everything is going smoothly. I am not a dog person, and I absolutely adored her.

Once I arrived, Cris and Rhoni were more than I had expected, as was Sagewater.  The hotel was prefect. Stylish and clean, simple, modern. Very comfortable bed and linens (even a great pillow – which I tend to be picky about!), great water pressure in the shower and delicious, clean tap water.

The mineral pools were God-sends. My eye allergies (from home) cleared after a swim in the warm pool. The hot tub was a nightly and early morning ritual for me where I was able to connect with the silence and beauty of the surroundings.
I felt an even deeper connection because sadly, my dog passed away while I was away on this trip. Sage (their Schnauzer) volunteered herself as comfort to me. I was visibly sad and both Cris and Rhoni were so comforting and empathic to my grief.
We had a few conversations while I was there (which I encouraged – they were also sensitive to try to give me space and solitude) which were deep and transformational for me.

As a side note, I was at the “we care” spa, doing their program, but stayed at Sagewater for 4 nights since We Care was booked. What a gift it was. Sagewater completed my healing journey.

I will absolutely return- and would recommend it to anyone, even people who have the option to stay at We Care, if that is a part of your trip. given that I was on a liquid fast, I did not partake in any food offerings or restaurant recommendations, but it sounded like they had great ideas. They also had great ideas for other place to me to visit in the area, which I didn’t have time for on this trip, but will return for.

I believe that Cris, Rhoni, Sage and Sagewater will be a part of my life forever.

Sagewater Spa offered so much to us but we cannot say enough about Cristina and Rhoni. They are wonderful hosts who made us feel right at home. Their little dog, Sage, would come up for pets and if we left our room door open, she would come in to say, “Hi.” It helped alleviate our homesickness for our dogs. The rooms are clean and comfortably simple with kitchen facilities and an outdoor shared grill. You are close to fantastic places to hike and explore and only about 20 minutes from Palm Springs. The pool is open 24/7 and is very relaxing – you can choose warm or hot. The views of the mountains are beautiful.
